Xu Guo Memorial Arch

This archway commemorates the illustrious career of the scholar-political leader Xuguo (1527-1596).  It is called the eight legged archway with a carved dragon at the base of each leg.  There are a number of inscriptions on the archway the most memorable is the one which reads "Learning before success".
